I had a very pleasant visit overall at Rough River Dam State Resort Park. The location is lovely, with beautiful lake views that make it perfect for a relaxing day. However, I did find that some amenities, like the mini-golf, were under renovation during my visit, which was a little disappointing. Still, the outdoor activities and amenities like the pool and beach area added to the experience. 🌅

I chose a smaller cottage which was situated in a wooded area, but it could use some updates. The microwave barely worked and the TV had issues, which was a bit frustrating. Despite that, I appreciated the screened in area for enjoying the breeze.

On the downside, parking was a hassle at certain locations, and the dining options were quite basic. Additionally, the lack of nearby beach access was disappointing. I had a decent time at Rough River Dam State Resort Park. The lakefront views were gorgeous, perfect for some relaxation, but I ran into a few hiccups with the cottage. The microwave was pretty much useless, and the TV was out of commission during my stay, which was a bummer.
